A Lifesaving Partnership: MASSH Hospital and Jawahar Foundation Provide Free AI Breast Cancer Screenings for Women in Need

MASSH Hospital and Jawahar Foundation Launch Free AI-Powered Breast Cancer Screenings for Underprivileged Women!New Delhi, 30th October 2024:  In a joint effort to promote women’s health and breast cancer awareness, MASSH Super Speciality Hospital, in partnership with Jawahar Foundation, successfully conducted free breast cancer screenings for over 50 underprivileged women on 24th and 25th October. The event marked a significant step towards providing advanced AI-based, non-invasive healthcare solutions to women who otherwise lack access to such critical services.

Leveraging the power of AI-based thermal screening technology from Niramai, the initiative offered a revolutionary approach to early detection. Unlike traditional mammography, which involves discomfort, radiation exposure, and compression, this radiation-free, pain-free method uses infrared technology to detect even the slightest abnormalities in breast tissue. For suspected cases, breast ultrasounds were also conducted on-site by trained technicians at MASSH Hospital, ensuring comprehensive care.

Speaking about the initiative, Mansi Bansal Jhunjhunwala, Founder and CEO of MASSH Super Speciality Hospitals, emphasized the importance of accessibility in healthcare: “Our mission is to make preventive care available to every woman, irrespective of her financial situation. By employing cutting-edge AI-based thermal screening, we’ve ensured a more comfortable and accessible method for early detection, empowering women with the knowledge and tools they need to take control of their health.”

In addition to the screenings, the event featured an awareness talk and live Q&A session led by Dr. Rashmi Shriya, a renowned Obstetrician and Gynecologist at MASSH Hospital. Dr. Shriya educated participants on the importance of breast health and the advantages of thermal screening over mammography, highlighting how early detection can save lives.

Riju Jhunjhunwala, Founder of Jawahar Foundation, echoed the event’s impact: “Partnering with MASSH Hospital on this initiative allowed us to bring essential healthcare to underserved women and raise awareness about breast cancer in a meaningful way. This initiative is a testament to our shared commitment to improving public health.”

This initiative demonstrated the ongoing commitment of both MASSH Hospital and Jawahar Foundation to improving public health and raising awareness about critical health issues, particularly among marginalised communities.
