At Inorbit mall Vashi, positivity and patriotism set the tone for the new year

Navi Mumbai(S.N)– Inorbit Mall Vashi has begun the new year on a positive note, doing its bit to spread awareness while supporting special causes.

Ahead of Republic Day on January 26, Inorbit mall Vashi went a step further and dedicated the day to visually impaired children from low income backgrounds. The mall is organizing an awareness programme under the Roshni – Netra Drishti project which is part of the Mumbai-based NGO Making The Difference (MTD). The NGO encourages eye donation and supports the education of blind children.

To sensitise people about the challenges faced by the visually impaired, Inorbit mall Vashi has created a blindfold experience at the mall’s atrium with a Braille Kiosk. Various engaging blindfold activities have been planned. These include a walk-the-dark treasure hunt with night vision camera, partner makeover, stack the glass, coin recognition, Lego building and the cage lock and key.

On Republic Day Patrons decided to take a pledge to donate their eyes. The mall stages a flash mob for patrons. The mall will run the blindfold experience till January 29.

Recently, the mall also joined hands with MTD to promote menstrual awareness and sustainable menstrual hygiene among young girls. As part of the Lajjaprogramme, Inorbit mall organised an awareness session for 180 students at the NMMC school No 76, sector 7 where the girls were also given 50 reusable pads.
