Mumbai / Greater Noida, January 17th 2023: Auto Expo The Motor Show 2023 continued with excitement among auto enthusiasts and witnessed a promising visitor participation on the first day of the week.

At Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2023, SIAM in association with Rosmerta developed the Surakshit Safar Pavilion on the sidelines of National Road Safety Week (11th to 17th January 2023) to raise awareness about road safety among visitors. Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India along with Shri Vinod Agarwal, President SIAM, inaugurated the Surakshit Safar pavilion at Auto Expo 2023 on January 12, 2023 in the presence of other dignitaries of the automobile industry.

The Road Safety pavilion highlighted numerous safety measures that would benefit visitors with simulations, competitions, performances, and picture booths. Multiple road safety stakeholders like Delhi Traffic Police, Centre of Excellence for Road Safety from IIT Madras, Indian Head Injury Foundation, Dr. Shroff Eye Centre & Eicher Foundation, IVC Logistics – CMVR Compliant Logistics also highlighted exceptional work executed by them.

Besides panels depicting different aspects of road safety such as the need of helmets, the importance of wearing seat belts, and the Good Samaritan statute – First Responder is also on exhibit. The pavilion has also concentrated on Asli Naqli (Be Genuine Buy Genuine), bringing to light the spurious parts business that is a massive illegal industry amounting to INR 25,000 crores.

Later in the day, an international conference on sustainable circularity was organised as part of SIAM’s Sustainable Mobility Initiative – Chakriyata. The seminar emphasized recycling in the context of Indian mobility.

Hyundai Motor India offered a one-of-a-kind premium experience to audiences across all age groups. The activities feature such as metaverse and augmented reality experiences along with live musical band performance. Additionally, kids also had a dedicated zone wherein they could attend creative workshops along with participation in exciting activities.

Also, a large contingent of students from different schools attended the Auto Expo The Motor Show 2023 and had an enthralling experience visiting different automobile pavilions and experiencing the transformation in the Indian Automobile Industry.

Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2023 is scheduled from 13th – 18th January 2023 at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida.

Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2023 will showcase the most advanced product line-up in terms of technology, safety, design, and much more futuristic. The Auto Show will not only present a prospective vision of the Indian auto industry, but it will also highlight the industry’s resiliency to adapt emerging technologies such as biofuels, ethanol, green mobility, and EVs.

The 16th edition of Auto Expo will have a dedicated pavilion highlighting the Indian Automobile Industry’s transformation path towards greener mobility wherein over 70 manufacturers will exhibit their best-in-class products with most advanced technologies. This edition of the Auto Expo will also feature more than 30 pure EV manufacturers, including a major contribution from start-ups.

The expo will be open to visitors and car enthusiasts from from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on January 13th to 18th, 2023. The 13th of January will be a business-exclusive day, followed by general public days from the 14th to 18th of January 2023. The Motor Show 2023 will occupy a total of 2,35,000 square metres, with top vehicle manufacturers taking up a total of 64,000 square metres of gross indoor built-up space.
