Bengaluru 29th May 2023: Bridge Health, a proactive care healthtech company funded by Kris Gopalakrishnan, has formed a strategic alliance with Primus Senior Living, a pioneer in conceptualizing and creating luxury communities for seniors in India. Together, they are set to launch a first-of-its-kind managed eldercare service, called ‘One Care’. This year-long, customized health plan will bring the best of both worlds under one roof – proactive care and emergency services, to revolutionize geriatric care in the country. The plan is designed to help improve not just the lifespan but also the healthspan of India’s growing elderly population. The first plan is being rolled out by Bridge Health, at Primus Reflections, Kanakapura Road, Bengaluru and it will soon be expanding across India.

Kris Gopalakrishnan, Chairman of Bridge Health, said, “Bridge Health’s primary mission is to facilitate a crucial transition in India’s healthcare segment from curative to proactive care. As the Chairman, I am personally dedicated to guiding Bridge Health in fulfilling this mission and raising awareness about the importance of being proactive in maintaining one’s health.”

Commenting on the One Care initiative, Karan Verma, CEO of Bridge Health said, “Around 10% of India’s current population is geriatric and that number is expected to grow significantly. Additionally, there is an increasing number of nuclear families and children living away from their parents. Hence, there is a need to provide holistic care that is proactive in its scope and convenient in its service delivery. Through our strategic association with Primus Senior Living, we are committed to achieving this goal by announcing the launch of the ‘One Care’ plan for elders.

The starting point of Bridge Health’s ‘One Care’ is a Comprehensive Elder Care Assessment (CECA) that evaluates functional abilities, physical, cognition and mental health. Also, a host of lab & radiology tests are conducted for understanding current health status and predicting the risk of future health conditions. Post these assessments, Bridge Health’s clinical experts create a customized prevention and treatment plan.

Adarsh Narahari, Managing Director of Primus Senior Living, said, “Through extensive research on senior living facilities, I have realized that addressing the health challenges faced by the elderly requires a multifaceted approach. Through our partnership with Bridge Health, we aim to address these challenges for the senior citizens residing in Primus facilities and in India at large. Bridge Health’s holistic, proactive and managed care services, coupled with relevant technology and a commitment to clinical and operational excellence, will significantly enhance the quality of life of our senior citizens. With our aim to construct 2500 residential homes across six cities in the next few years, we are looking forward to a long-term association with Bridge Health.”

While Bridge Health with its multidisciplinary proactive healthcare expertise will design and execute the ‘One Care’ plan, Primus Senior Living on its part will continue to focus on providing exceptional senior living experiences.
