Canadian Wood hosted a seminar on ‘Reman Projects with Canadian Wood’ with renowned industry partners in Pune

Pune, 3rd February 2023: The British Columbia (B.C.) provincial government’s crown corporation, Forestry Innovation Consulting India Pvt Ltd (FII India), popularly known as Canadian Wood, hosted a seminar on ‘Reman Projects with Canadian Wood’ in Pune. It focussed on the rising demand for the company’s sustainable wood, which is sourced from certified forests of BC Canada. Additionally, there were conversations on the emergence of India as an important market for sustainable wood construction, especially with several timber-built projects cropping up across the country. 

The session, which saw a robust attendance by OEMs, contractors, architects, interior designers,

PMCs, builders, and developers began with a welcome note and message by Mr. Pranesh Chhibber, Country Director of Canadian Wood. Distinguished speakers from Pune at the seminar included Mr. Amit Gandhi, Minimal Stroke, and Mr. Govind Ekbote, Ekbote Timber Homes, who gave presentations on sustainable wood, their experiences with it, and their projects. As timber construction developers and interior designers, they were well-versed with the unique features of sustainable wood and the environmental advantage it offered. 

Mr. Pranesh Chhibber, Country Director of Canadian Wood, Canadian Wood is currently collaborating with 41 stockists in 22 cities across India to provide high-quality wood. Since we are a non-profit organization, our aim is to raise awareness among stakeholders about various Canadian wood species which are sustainably sourced and also become their go-to supplier. The seminar, which was seamlessly moderated by Dr. Jimmy Thomas, Assistant Director Technical Services, concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Gajanan Patankar, Assistant Director of Business Development.
