Generous USD 11,000+ Donation Helps IIT Mandi Set Up Satish and Kamlesh Agrawal Scholarship
Mandi, 07th May 2025: Social activist Satish Agarwal, who lives in Houston, USA, has given financial aid of more than $11,000 to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi. This aid will be given to promising B.Tech students in the form of ‘Satish and Kamlesh Agarwal Scholarship’.
An MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) has been signed between the institute and the donor, under which this scholarship will be started. Its purpose is to encourage meritorious students who are economically backward but are ahead in studies.
IIT Mandi Director Prof. Laxmidhar Behera and Dora Dean Prof. Varun Dutt thanked Mr. and Ms. Agarwal for their support. They said that such efforts provide opportunities for talented students to progress and enrich the academic environment of the institute.
Dora Office said that this contribution will be used to fulfil the dreams of needy and promising students, which will have a positive impact on the society.
