Innovative Energy Solution: Prozeal Green Energy to Build 50 MWp Solar PV Plant in Leh with Battery System
Ahmedabad/Leh, 19th October 2024: Ahmedabad-headquartered Prozeal Green Energy Pvt. Ltd., a pioneer of green energy solutions in India, has been awarded a major tender by the Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI), a government of India enterprise.
The contract, valued at Rs. 313 crore, is for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and operation and maintenance of a 25 MW (AC) Solar PV Power Plant (50 MWp) with a 20 MW/50 MWh Battery Energy Storage System at Taru, Leh.
The award is a significant milestone for Prozeal Green Energy as it marks another major project in its portfolio, advancing India’s push towards renewable energy solutions in challenging environments like Leh, where the integration of solar energy with battery storage is crucial for grid stability.

The project will provide power backup for 2.5 hours. The Battery Energy Storage System will be charged in the daytime from the solar plant and supply power during peak demand to the grid.
Prozeal Green Energy continues to strengthen its position as a pioneer in the green energy sector in India. The company is also undertaking several projects in Nepal and Bhutan and recently won a project in Portugal. The company also recently delivered Nepal’s largest rooftop solar plant of 9.2 MWp for Reliance Spinning Mills, a part of Golyan Group, one of the largest conglomerates in the Himalayan nation. Prozeal Green Energy has signed a joint venture agreement with Golyan Group to establish over 500 MW of solar rooftop and ground-mounted PV solar plants in Nepal.
