International Ayurveda Congress 2025: Exploring Ancient Wisdom in Pune on February 1-2

8th International Ayurveda Congress to Take Place in Pune, India on February 1-2, 2025The 8th International Ayurveda Congress is organised and hosted by D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune, and co-organised by the International Maharishi AyurVeda Foundation (The Netherlands), the All India Ayurvedic Congress (India) and the International Academy of Ayurved (Pune, India).

This Congress is a forum for leading international experts and professionals in Ayurveda to share their works and expand their scope of knowledge. Research scientists, doctors, and scholars worldwide with expertise in Ayurvedic and Western medicine will discuss various themes and scientific evidence on preventing disease, promoting longevity, and alleviating specific health conditions with Ayurveda.

The congress will be attended by over 1,300 delegates and professionals from more than 15 countries, incl. India, Europe, USA, South America, Africa, etc. Over 130 presentations will establish Ayurveda as science of wholeness of life & offer evidence-based scientific solutions. Seven plenary & several parallel sessions with well-known international and national Ayurveda experts, as well as pre- & post-congress programmes will make the 8th IAVC and outstanding experience.

Shri Prataprao Jadhav, Minister of State, Ministry of AYUSH and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, will be Guest of Honour. Padma Shree Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of Ministry of AYUSH, will be special invitee as a Patron of the Congress. Other senior authorities of the Ministry of AYUSH will also be present. WHO was invited to participate with a delegation.

International Maharishi AyurVeda Foundation, All India Ayurvedic Congress, and International Academy of Ayurved have successfully organized – during their 10-year collaboration – seven successful previous IAVCs: in Netherlands, UK, Brazil, Slovenia and Nepal. The Presidents of these three organizations, Padmabhushan Vd. Devendra Triguna, Dr Painer Picha and Prof. Subhash Ranade, will be present in person at the 8th IAVC.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s Contribution to the Rise of Ayurveda in the World: Starting in 1979 Maharishi promoted Ayurveda throughout the world as holistic, scientific system of natural health care for the prevention and cure of diseases, preservation of health, and promotion of longevity. He developed a World Plan for Perfect Health, a comprehensive & universally applicable, economically self-sufficient programme of health-care based on the principles of Ayurveda.

As of today, the Government of India has signed MoUs relating to Ayurveda with over 80 national governments. Over 30 countries have officially recognized Ayurveda. WHO will establish its only Global Centre for Traditional Medicine in India.
