In a recent development, Archon Powerinfra has been awarded a significant contract under the Northern Railway’s Delhi Division for the redevelopment and large-scale upgradation of the Meerut City Railway Station. Highlighting one of the company’s landmark achievements, Kapil Sharma shared insights into the Tanakpur Hydropower Project. The project involved complex operations such as river diversion, dam construction, and river lining under extreme conditions. Managing water flow of nearly 700,000 cusecs across a 1.5-kilometer stretch posed a major challenge, which was successfully handled through meticulous planning, disciplined execution, and strong teamwork.
Beyond this, Archon Powerinfra has undertaken multiple operations and maintenance assignments for hydropower plants ranging from 300 MW to 600 MW in regions like Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh. The company has also contributed to defense-related infrastructure in Jammu & Kashmir, including the construction of bunkers and fuel storage facilities.
Additionally, Archon Powerinfra has played a role in national-level initiatives such as the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, supporting the expansion of LPG infrastructure across Bihar, West Bengal, and Jammu & Kashmir.
