Karur Vysya Bank Opens 850th Branch in Chennai, Marking a Significant Milestone
India, 12th November 2024: Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) announced the inauguration of its 850th branch in Chennai today. Also, the Bank inaugurated 5 other new branches during the day, thereby KVB reached a significant milestone of having its total branch network to 854.
Karur Vysya Bank started in the year 1916 and today has a gamut of financial services, all under one roof, and service millions of customers. KVB’s 56 % of branches are in rural and semi-urban areas which is a testimony of the bank’s commitment towards financial inclusion across India.
The 850th branch was inaugurated by Mr. B. Ramesh Kumar, MD & CEO, Karur Vysya Bank. The inauguration ceremony witnessed a vibrant gathering that included renowned personalities from the region, business leaders, Branch Managers and other officials of the Bank. The new branch is located at 19/10, 3rd Main Street, Officers Colony, Adambakkam, Chennai – 600 088.
The banks’ total business stood at Rs. 1,76,138 crores as on 30.09.2024 with a deposit base of Rs. 95,839 crores and advances of Rs. 80,299 crores. With a network of 854 branches, KVB has an employee strength of 9085.
KVB offers various digital banking services to its customers. KVB DLite – the mobile banking app witnessed 5.63 million downloads which offers convenience of financial and non-financial services through 150+ features.
The Bank also inaugurated 5 other new branches today, among them 3 from Tamil Nadu (Madurai, Nagercoil, Salem) and 2 from Andhra Pradesh (Nellore, Vijayawada).
