SGB has become increasingly popular in the past few months as it is the best form of investing in gold which is risk-free, tax-free, and comes with an additional interest rate of 2.5%, without any storage cost and making cost. Gold bonds were introduced back in 2015 and till now, two tranches of SGB have matured, which have given a phenomenal return of 150% in the last eight years. Moreover, Gold has been consistently given 12% CAGR returns in the long term for the last 20–25 years.
