Chennai, India – May 2023: IIT Madras Research Park (IITMRP), India’s first university-based research park, today announced that XYMA Analytics, a Deep-tech Start-up that was incubated at the IITM Incubation Cell was conferred with the prestigious “National Technology Awards 2023” under the Startup Category.
Known for their ground-breaking and patented waveguide ultrasonic sensor technology, Xyma Analytics was felicitated for enabling multi-point and multi-parameter sensing in their innovation, which also withstands extreme environments. Supported by many industry and innovative leaders, the deep-tech startup is also the recipient of several accolades including getting featured among Startup Tamil Nadu Top 19-Most Promising Startups, Qualcomm Design Indian Challenge 21 Finalists, and the TANSEED award from the Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Prof. Krishnan Balasubramanian, Institute Professor and Director, Xyma Analytics said, “Xyma Analytics is a great example of how a deep technology developed over many years of research has been translated into a startup that solves real problems in industry. Our solutions are relevant to solving global problems using ultrasonic waveguide sensors.”
Winning this recognition empowers Xyma Analytics’ vision for the long term to democratise the measurements using novel sensor technologies. Xyma also plans to contribute to the Make-in-India initiative through its industrial sensors that are manufactured in Tamil Nadu and engineered by IIT Madras for the global market. The National Technology accolade subsequently enables the deep-tech startup to diversify to larger markets like the Middle East and Europe in the forthcoming financial year.
