ITM Institute of Design & Media Launches Micro-Credit Workshops in Design & Media
Mumbai, 27th October, 2025: ITM Institute of Design & Media (IDM), Andheri a leading creative education institution under ITM Skills University has announced the launch of its Micro-Credit Workshops, a pioneering initiative aimed at empowering design aspirants through certified, flexible, and skill-based learning opportunities in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Developed for aspiring and current design students, these online workshops are free for IDM students and offer 0.5 verified academic credits per session. Participants will receive certification from ITM Skills University, with credits securely integrated into their Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) via DigiLocker through their APAAR ID. Each course complies with NCrF (National Credit Framework) and NHEQF (National Higher Education Qualifications Framework) standards.
Conducted by top-tier design faculty and industry experts, the Micro-Credit Workshops emphasize practical, project-based learning that meets the evolving demands of the creative industries. Students can participate remotely, gaining hands-on experience while enhancing both their academic and professional portfolios through micro-credentialing.

The inaugural lineup begins with “Lightroom Mastery: The One-Click Magic Workshop” on November 1, 2025, led by Prof. Sudeep Mehta. Subsequent workshops include:
- “Clo 3D: From Pattern to Runway” Prof. Mansi Pandya (November 8)
- “Icon Craft – Designing Visual Language using Adobe Illustrator” – Prof. Rasika Potdar (November 15)
- “Design that Connects – Crafting a Creative Emailer using Figma” – Prof. Shivam Shinde (November 22)
- “Visual Storytelling with Adobe Photoshop” – Prof. Muskan Jolly (November 29)
All sessions are conducted online from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, enabling nationwide participation and providing flexibility for learners across India.
These workshops mark the beginning of an ongoing series, with new skill-building sessions introduced monthly across areas such as digital design, communication, media, fashion technology, and UI/UX. Each program is designed to help learners stay aligned with emerging industry trends and develop a strong foundation for career success.
