Munchkins of The Shriram Wonder Years Celebrate Republic Day
An enthusiastic Republic day celebration was held at The Shriram Wonder Years, Rohini, to mark the national event and ensure that the students learn the significance of the day. The theme of the event was ‘Mad About My Country’, where students participated along with their parents and showcased their talent through multiple activities. A number of presentations were held for the students, including crafts, games, and audio-video programs that enlightened the students about the day.
Children made tri-colored fans and also got the flag tattooed on their hands at the celebration, painting the environment with the feeling of nationalism. They relished patriotic veggie skewers and enjoyed the event with their friends and parents. Tiny tots of classes ‘Pyare’ and ‘Badhte Kadam’ also performed songs, dances, skits, and role plays and educated the audience about the importance of national symbols.
“Republic day is one of the most important days in our country as our government’s functioning came into being smoothly from this day. Students performed really well on patriotic themes and spread the message of ‘freedom of mind, freedom of faith, freedom to dream’ and showed how proud they were to be a part of the country. The unfurling of the Indian Flag held the breath of everyone as the feeling of nationalism ran in everyone’s heart. We wish everyone a happy Republic day and hope we grow together as a strong nation,” said Ms. Shubhi Soni, Head of the School, The Shriram Wonder Years.
