In the Performing Arts (solo) category, an outstanding 79% of pupils achieved Distinction, while candidates in the Speech and Drama category recorded top scores of 95 marks. According to the school, these results reflect its Floreat approach, which integrates academic discipline with confident self-expression and strong co-curricular engagement.

Expressing pride in the students’ achievements, Tansy Troy, Director of Performing Arts, Head of Drama and Teacher of English, said the pupils demonstrated remarkable dedication and creativity throughout the preparation process.

“I am too delighted for ordinary words. Our brilliant pupils have worked incredibly hard, choosing their own unique repertoire and rehearsing tirelessly with one another. Special mention must go to the outstanding pupil mentor team, who conducted mock exams with their peers and supported younger or less experienced candidates with remarkable maturity. Pupils of Shrewsbury, you truly make us proud,” Troy said.

School officials highlighted that peer mentorship played a crucial role in this year’s success. Pupils from Grade 6 to A Level Drama and Performing Arts collaborated across year groups, assisting one another with repertoire selection, rehearsals, mock assessments and preparation for reflective evaluation components.

Dominic Tomalin, Founding Headmaster of Shrewsbury International School India, emphasized that the results reflect more than technical skill, underscoring the school’s broader philosophy of holistic education.

“Our outstanding pupil results in Trinity College London examinations reflect far more than technical accomplishment; they demonstrate our unwavering commitment to developing expressive confidence as a vital dimension of whole-person education. When young people learn to articulate their ideas, perspectives and feelings with clarity and nuance—and to understand the expressions of others—they unlock growth across every other area of their lives. In today’s world, the ability to communicate with authenticity and empathy is foundational,” Tomalin said.

The school began operations in August last year, shortly after announcing its collaboration with Trinity College London. Through this partnership, pupils are able to pursue internationally recognised qualifications in music, dance and drama.

Established in 1872, Trinity College London is globally recognised for assessing communicative and performance skills across music, drama, combined arts and the English language.

School authorities added that these achievements reflect the institution’s commitment to the Salopian tradition, encouraging students to develop into confident, creative and thoughtful individuals who embody the spirit of Floreat both within the school community and beyond.
