Govt of India launches 3-month campaign to enhance penetration of PMJJBY & PMSBY at Gram Panchayat levelChennai; Department of Financial Services, Govt. of India had launched a 3month saturation campaign for Jansuraksha Schemes i.e. PMJJBY & PMSBY at Gram Panchayat Level from 01.04.2023 to 30.06.2023 in all the districts of the country. The objective of the campaign is to enhance the penetration of PMJJBY & PMSBY and specifically ensure that the scheme reaches the poor, economically under privileged, low income citizens, people living in extremely remote areas of the country to ensure last mile coverage at economical prices.

To oversee the progress, officials from Govt. of India are visiting various Gram Panchayat across the country. In continuation of the visit, Mr Jitendra Asati, Director (FI), DFS, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India visited Parivakkam Gram Panchayat, Poonamallee Block of Tiruvallur District and Mudichur Village Panchayat, St. Thomas Mount Block, Chengalpattu District to oversee the conduct of the campaign. He explained the importance and benefits of social security PMJJBY & PMSBY schemes and also interacted with the public & informed them to spread the message of Jansuraksha Insurance schemes at economical cost and its benefits. The camp was conducted by Canara Bank for Parivakkam GP & Indian Bank for Mudichur VP and was organized by LDMs of Indian Bank for Tiruvallur and Chengalpattu District under the overall aegis of SLBC – Convenor Indian Overseas Bank – Tamil Nadu. The camp was attended by officials from SLBC, Banks, Block Development Officer, Gram Panchayat President & Vice President, Business Correspondent, Ward members & General public.
