Manav Rachna Pays Tribute to the Constitution on Its Special Day.

Shri. Vipul Goel and Other Dignitaries Highlight the Significance of Constitutional Values

On the occasion of Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas), a special event was organized at Manav Rachna campus. The occasion was graced by Shri. Vipul Goel, Cabinet Minister for Revenue & Disaster Management, Urban Local Bodies, and Civil Aviation, as the Chief Guest, along with Guests of Honour Shri. Satish Kumar Phagna, MLA NIT Faridabad; Shri. Dhanesh Adlakha, MLA Badkhal; and in the presence of Dr. Vikram Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Faridabad; and Shri Saurabh Singh, Commissioner of Police, Faridabad.

From Manav Rachna, key figures on stage included Dr. Deependra Kumar Jha, Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna University; Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS); NC Wadhwa, Director General, MREI; Dr. Sangeeta Banga, Pro Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna University; Sh. Ramesh Kumar Arora, Registrar; and Dr. Asha Verma, Dean, School of Law, Manav Rachna University.

The event marked the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution, commemorating the democratic values and legal frameworks that define the nation. A Constitution Week Exhibition was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries, symbolizing a tribute to India’s constitutional ethos. Curated by the School of Law, the exhibition showcased the creativity and jurisprudential insights of students and faculty, serving as a testament to legal scholarship and innovation.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri. Vipul Goel emphasized the Constitution’s enduring relevance, “As the future custodians of justice, equality, and democracy, these students will carry forward the torch of constitutional values, ensuring that India continues its journey towards progress and upholding the rule of law. Their commitment to constitutional principles will shape the future of a just and equitable society. It is vital that every citizen knows their rights and abides by the Constitution, which has undergone amendments to benefit various sections, including women.”

Dr. Deependra Kumar Jha, Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna University, shared his vision of a future anchored in constitutional values, “The Constitution provides a framework that ensures law, order, and equality. As educators, we strive to instill in our students a sense of responsibility towards creating a secure and equitable future where constitutional principles are not just ideals but a lived reality.”

During the event, winners of various competitions organized by the School of Law and other government institutes as part of Constitution Week were felicitated. Their projects reflected a profound understanding of India’s foundational legal principles, preparing them to become proactive custodians of justice in an ever-evolving society.

The “Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Samman” campaign, launched earlier this year by the government, also featured prominently in the celebration The campaign aims to deepen citizens’ understanding of the Constitution through regional events, digital engagement, and educational initiatives.
