AT&S Welcomes Silver Jubilee, Strengthens Commitment to India
Mysuru/Nanjangud, April 04th, 2025: AT&S AG, the Austria based EURO 1.5 billion global IC substrate and printed circuit board (PCB) leader, celebrated the silver jubilee of its operations in India from the ancient heritage town of Nanjangud near Mysuru. Austrian investment in the then small PCB facility owned by a family business 25 years ago has today evolved into a world-class manufacturing facility for high-end printed circuits catering to global supply chains.
AT&S India, the wholly owned subsidiary entity, has been the driving force behind the emergence of Mysuru as the nucleus of a new electronics manufacturing cluster. The advent of Austrian technologies with global operations in PCB manufacturing 25 years ago has reinforced the position of Mysuru today both within and outside Karnataka as a key destination for subsequent investments in the electronics manufacturing segment. The thousand plus strong workforce recruited predominantly from the neighboring areas stand testimony to position AT&S India as a preferred employer of choice. No wonder the company regularly celebrates silver jubilee of scores of employees who have been in service with the organization since even prior to the Austrian acquisition and have chosen to continue to serve AT&S.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Peter Schneider, Member of the Executive Board, AT&S Group, said, “AT&S India today is supporting global electronics trends in the automotive, industrial and infrastructure sector and is India’s first manufacturer of HFI and HDI PCBs. This success was only possible due to the hard work, loyalty, and belief of our AT&S people. Their commitment has kept us strong — not just for 25 years, but through every challenge we’ve faced.” He added further, “AT&S committed itself to Nanjangud when hardly any MNC from the electronics manufacturing segment was willing to risk their money in India. AT&S crafted a success story then and it will continue to create new success stories in times ahead. Together with you, we shall create value, share it and also shoulder our responsibilities towards our neighboring communities in Nanjangud who have been our gracious host for 25 years.”
Across these silver jubilee years, AT&S India has accomplished itself by building many new school rooms, equipped them with necessary educational amenities, and provided access to clean drinking water and sanitation facilities, while also standing in solidarity with the neighboring villagers in their hours of crisis, be it seasonal floods or Corona pandemic. AT&S India CSR programs have touched positively thousands of lives in the past 25 years.
