CASHe CEO Yashoraj Tyagi Highlights Surge in Women Borrowers
Yashoraj Tyagi, CEO, CASHe
“CASHe, we’ve seen firsthand the growing financial participation of women, and the findings of this report reflect what we experience every day. Women borrowers have been increasing in double digits year after year, with nearly 60% of them coming from Tier-2 and beyond cities. Since our inception, one in five loans we’ve disbursed has been to women, and most of them—about 68%—earn less than INR 50,000 per month. What stands out is their financial discipline. Women not only maintain lower default rates than men but are also more proactive in tracking their credit health.
Beyond just access to credit, women are using loans to meet a variety of financial needs—from funding education and travel to home improvement and debt consolidation. As more women take charge of their financial journeys, we are committed to ensuring they have the access, resources, and support needed to thrive and achieve long-term financial independence”
