Women’s Health & Wellness Take Center Stage at the Transformative Nari Shakti 2.0 Conclave

The Nari Shakti 2.0 Conclave – A Confluence of Strength, Wellness & Change – concluded with resounding success, reinforcing the urgent need to prioritize women’s health, particularly in the fight against breast and cervical cancer. Organized by Mediways Health Foundation in collaboration with Inner Wheel District 301, the event brought together distinguished medical experts, corporate leaders, and social advocates to drive meaningful discussions and actionable solutions for women’s healthcare.

The conclave commenced with an inspiring inaugural address by Chief Guest, Ms. Sobha Vijendra Gupta, setting the stage for a day dedicated to advancing health awareness, early detection, and equitable access to treatment.

Dr. Manisha Saxena, Senior Consultant, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Primacare Clearmedi Hospital, highlighted the life-saving impact of early detection in breast and cervical cancer and emphasized the need for regular screenings. Ms. Neha Gaur, Founder, Heal2Fit, underscored a holistic approach to women’s well-being, integrating physical, mental, and nutritional health.

Ms. Preeti Veenam, Director, Volo Health, explored the evolving role of insurance in increasing accessibility to cancer prevention and affordable treatment options. Ms. Monika Khera, VP & Head of HR, Axis Max Life Insurance, discussed the role of corporate leadership in promoting workplace wellness and championing women’s health initiatives. Sadhvi Dr. Shivani Bharti, Director, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, delivered an insping address on harnessing inner strength to combat health challenges.

Ms. Manisha Kaushik, President, Inner Wheel District 301, emphasized the power of collective action in driving women-led social movements in healthcare. Dr. Sneha Galande, HOD, Breast Surgical Oncology, MASSH, stressed the importance of making cancer prevention a national priority through regular screenings and awareness campaigns.

The Keynote Address by Dr. Survesha Khanna, Founder & Director, Dharamshila Cancer Institute, provided invaluable perspectives on palliative care and the need to redefine compassion in cancer treatment.

Lunch of Project Lifeline: A Revolutionary Step in Women’s Healthcare

A defining moment of the conclave was the unveiling of Project Lifeline: Her Health, Her Right—a joint initiative by Mediways Health Foundation & Midtown Club. This groundbreaking Surgical Support Initiative aims to:

  • Provide 50 life-saving surgeries annually for underprivileged women battling breast and cervical cancer.
  • Establish a Pan-India Helpline to offer medical guidance, emotional support, and access to cancer care.
  • Set up counseling centers in collaboration with hospitals for comprehensive patient support.
  • Mobilize a nationwide movement, calling on Inner Wheel clubs, CSR partners, and individuals to expand the reach of this life-changing initiative.
