Rapido Boosts Mobility and Livelihoods in Delhi
New Delhi, Feb 11: Rapido, India’s largest and most affordable one-stop mobility platform, is strengthening its position as a leading livelihood enabler. In Delhi, one of the country’s most demanding and high-volume urban markets, Rapido plays a pivotal role as the backbone of daily mobility while creating large-scale, flexible earning opportunities for captains.
Over the past quarter, Delhi has continued to stand out as a strong and resilient market for Rapido, marked by steady commuter trust and consistent operational performance. The capital witnesses nearly 3 crore rides every month across multiple mobility categories, reflecting both the scale of mobility demand and the platform’s ability to operate efficiently at high frequency.
The platform’s livelihood impact is further reflected in the earning potential it enables for captains across categories. In Delhi, all the Rapido captains earn an indicative average of ₹20,000–40,000 per month. These earnings are supported by multiple earning levers such as category switching, subscription plans, surge incentives, and loyalty programmes, allowing captains to optimise income without being restricted to a single mode of operation.
Beyond addressing everyday mobility needs, Rapido has strengthened its role as a significant livelihood engine in the city. Over the last six months, Delhi has emerged as a key growth hub for captain onboarding, with nearly 3 lakh captains added in the two-wheeler category, 1.5 lakh in autos, and 2 lakhs in cabs. This robust expansion across mobility segments reinforces Rapido’s growing appeal as a source of flexible, independent, and sustainable livelihoods in the capital.
Alongside scale and earnings, Delhi is also witnessing the steady rise of women-led mobility on the platform. Rapido actively engages with a growing number of women captains, supporting them through flexible work options and an inclusive earning ecosystem designed to enable financial independence and long-term livelihood sustainability.
The capital has consistently demonstrated robust demand for shared mobility solutions, underscoring both the city’s evolving commuter needs and Rapido’s ability to deliver reliability at scale. This flexibility remains a core differentiator, positioning Rapido not merely as a mobility solution, but as a platform that supports dignified, independent livelihoods while strengthening urban mobility ecosystems.

“Delhi represents everything that mobility in India stands for—scale, diversity, and complexity. Facilitating nearly 3 crore rides a month here is not just a metric; it reflects trust from commuters and meaningful earning opportunities for thousands of captains. Our focus has always been on building a platform that drives Bharat’s mobility backbone while acting as a sustainable livelihood engine. Delhi shows that when mobility works, livelihoods grow with it.”
Nationally, Rapido supports over 30 lakh captains across bikes, autos, cabs, and deliveries, making it one of India’s largest livelihood creators, second only to Indian Railways. With 50 million rides completed across 400+ cities, Rapido is fast becoming the backbone of everyday mobility for emerging India. Delhi exemplifies how high-frequency mobility, flexible earnings, and inclusive growth translate into tangible economic impact on the ground.
