Yatharth Hospital Spreads Health Awareness Through Winter Carnival
The Winter Carnival 2026, organised by Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital, Model Town, on January 10, turned out to be a major attraction for children and parents alike. The event aimed to promote health awareness while encouraging creativity among children through engaging and educational activities.
As part of the carnival, a series of drawing and colouring competitions were organised across different age groups. Children aged 2.5 to 3 years participated in a Christmas-themed colouring contest, while those in the 4 to 6 years category took part in an advanced Christmas-themed drawing competition. For older children, the themes became more educational—nutrition for the 7 to 10 years age group and pollution and a safe environment for children aged 11 to 15 years. The top three winners in each category were awarded prizes.
The event featured a range of activities not only for children but also for parents. Music, dance, and other creative engagements kept the atmosphere lively throughout the day. Adding to the excitement, RJ Lucky from Radio Ishq 104.8 FM interacted with children and families, making the event more vibrant and entertaining. All participants were given certificates, prizes, refreshments, and stationery, which further boosted enthusiasm among the young attendees.
Dr. Shailesh Sharma, Head & Senior Consultant – Pediatrics, and Dr. Nidhi Gupta, Head – Neonatology, shared valuable health-related advice with parents and children during the event. On this occasion, the hospital’s neonatologist provided simple and practical tips on newborn care, while the pediatric specialist conducted an awareness session on stress and digestive issues among children, highlighting common concerns faced during early growth years.
Hospital management stated that the objective of organising such free community initiatives is to promote holistic development in children while simultaneously increasing health awareness among parents. By combining education, entertainment, and expert medical guidance, Yatharth Hospital aims to encourage healthy habits and informed parenting from an early age.
