Ben-Gurion University invites applications for M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering

Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), Israel is now inviting applications for its comprehensive two-year M.Sc. program in Mechanical Engineering. Designed to deepen students’ scientific knowledge and prepare them for impactful research, this program offers two distinct tracks catering to diverse academic and professional goals.

The Master’s degree studies in mechanical engineering present students with a unique opportunity to embark on an enriching educational journey. The program is structured to enhance students’ expertise in the sciences, equipping them for advanced research endeavors.
Program delivery:

The program offers two fundamental tracks to prospective candidates- the thesis-based research track and the general track without a thesis all in English.
In the research track, students engage in advanced courses while conducting research under the guidance of experienced faculty members. The general track entails participation in a broader array of advanced courses, culminating in the preparation of a seminar paper. Specifically tailored for industry engineers, the general track does not permit further studies for a Ph.D. The study structure for each student is individually determined by dedicated advisors and supervisors, ensuring a personalized educational experience

Admission Cycle: Rolling Admissions (Registration is now open for 2024-2025)

Course Start Date: November 3, 2024

Admission Requirements:

A B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related fields from an accredited institution, at a minimum GPA of 80/100 according to the Israeli grading system.
A TOEFL score of at least 85/120 or the equivalent score in an internationally recognized English proficiency exam is required. The English proficiency requirement is waived for applicants who received their B.Sc. degree in a program taught in English.
GRE is recommended but not required.
