Rourkela, Aug 10: Heavy rain swept across Rourkela on Monday morning, disrupting daily life and leaving residents and commuters struggling with waterlogged roads and low-lying areas.
The downpour caused water to accumulate at several locations across the city, making routine travel difficult. Commuters faced problems navigating flooded stretches, while pedestrians also had to negotiate waterlogged roads and public areas.
The railway station premises were among the affected locations, with rainwater accumulating in parts of the area. A construction shed at the station was also reported to have collapsed during the spell of heavy rain.
